Malavika Sophie G. Sharma is a London photographer who, from an early age, has photographed everyday life that developed her interest in documentary photography. She has explored other genres, such as abstraction, still-life, landscape, portraiture, street and events. Books are her great inspiration for photography themes, and films provide her with the ideas for composition, lighting and scenery. She enjoys creative challenges that led her to her recent project, Existential Oddity which, she says, is her visual interpretation of the inner world of Franz Kafka and his dark and surreal writing style, one that came to be known as Kafkaesque. She has had several group exhibitions and one solo exhibition.

She has recently completed her BA Honours Degree in Photography. She is a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society.
